Meitantei Catherine
Catherine Turner (Charlotte Kate Fox), the only daughter of America’s Vice President joined the family business after graduating from university. She accompanies her father to Japan for his official duties and decides to remain in Japan even after he leaves because of her goal of incorporating the Japanese art of flower arrangement into the business in America. Foreign Minister Hamaguchi Yukio (Satomi Kotaro), who is on good terms with the Vice President, gets his nephew Hamaguchi Ichiro (Tanihara Shosuke), an associate professor at Kyoraku University, to attend to Catherine during her stay. He sternly warns a completely unenthusiastic Ichiro not to fall in love with her and orders him on the special assignment. Catherine developed a strong interest in flower arrangement when she met the beautiful artist Ogawa Maiko (Fueki Yuko) at a solo exhibition that Maiko held in America. They became friends after that, and Catherine looks forward to meeting Maiko again. However, she has trouble contacting Maiko. Maiko ended up a victim in a murder case! Catherine wants to find out the truth of her friend’s death no matter what it takes. She goes to Ichiro for help and demonstrates competence as an investigator that puts the police to shame. The underside that is gradually revealed, is a power struggle by the various schools of styles of the world of flower arrangement
