Wagaya SP
Sakuragi Ippo (Mukai Osamu) is a contract staff of the human resource rental company ‘Yujou Monogatari’ which dispatches “friends, significant others and families” to lonely customers in Tokyo. His occupation involves spending his days covering the loneliness and emotional scars of others. Ippo is good looking and also popular with clients. However, he has absolutely no intention to have a family of his own although he is over 30. The reason for this is his memory of being abandoned by his beloved father, Takeshi (Nagatsuka Kyozo) when he was a child. Takeshi suddenly left home 20 years ago. Ippo’s mother, Taiko (Tanaka Yuko), now lives alone in the family home by the seaside of the Miura Peninsula. Ippo has a younger sister, Honoka (Murakawa Eri), who is a bus tour guide. But they not even know each other’s contact information although they are both in Tokyo. Despite Taiko’s frustration at her children who will not even come back for New Year, she firmly watches over the house and acts as if her long-lost husband and children will come home anytime. One day, Taiko receives a phone call from Honoka who says, “I want you to meet the other party’s family because I’m getting married”. At the same moment, Ippo is masquerading as a family member of the elderly Murakoshi Kotoko (Kusamura Reiko), a regular ‘Yujou Monogatari’ client who lives alone. A “job” falls into his lap. He goes back home to the seaside town where his mother is waiting. Then his father unexpectedly turns up after being out of touch for 20 years … …
