Sun Hee is a mother of two children. She has worked as a contract worker for a large discount store for the past 5 years. Sun Hee has been promised numerous times that she would eventually be promoted to a regular full-time employee. Hye Mi is a single mother and works with Sun Hee as a contract worker. Soon Rye works as a janitor at the same discount store and is also a contract worker. One day, the contract workers learn that they will be dismissed. The workers panic, but Hye Mi and Soon Rye suggests that they form a union to fight for their rights. Sun Hee is nominated with Hye Mi and Soon Rye to represent the contract workers. A struggle between the contract workers and management takes place.
